TheGarden Route Done Properly
This is the Garden Route in full — five unhurried days from the vineyards of Route 62 to the Karoo, the coast and the wildlife of Plettenberg Bay. We don’t run scheduled tours; this is private, so you stop and go at your own pace, guided by someone who knows where the region’s hidden gems are.
Staying in four-star guesthouses chosen for their position and service, you’ll trade the rush of a packed coach tour for local knowledge, off-the-beaten-track stops and the kind of memories that last a lifetime.

What Guests Say
Frequently Asked
How much time do we spend travelling each day?
The drives are scenic and broken up with regular stops, so you’re never in the vehicle for long. Because it’s private, your guide adjusts the pace to suit your group throughout.
Do I have to choose between Monkeyland and Birds of Eden?
On day four you’ll pick one as your wildlife stop. If you’d like to visit both, just mention it when you enquire and we can build it in.
What's the difference between the two day-five endings?
Option A is a relaxed Big 5 game drive at Botlierskop before returning to Cape Town. Option B is a more adventurous Tsitsikamma day (bungee, kayak, Segway) finishing in Port Elizabeth.
Which meals are included?
The rate covers 4 breakfasts, 1 dinner in Oudtshoorn and a buffet lunch in Knysna. Other lunches and drinks are for your own account.
Can we extend the tour?
Yes. We’re happy to add nights on the Garden Route, include a return drive to Cape Town, or quote the trip in three-star or five-star accommodation.
