Common questions about the Garden Route shuttle

Question: What does the Garden Route shuttle cost?
Answer: Fares are per person and the same in both directions. Plettenberg Bay, Knysna or George to Cape Town is R820 for an adult and R790 for pensioners and students. Shorter hops along the coast, such as Plettenberg Bay to George or Knysna to George, are R620 for an adult and R590 for pensioners and students.

Question: Which days does the shuttle run?
Answer: The N2 coastal route runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in both directions. A second route runs on Thursday and goes inland on the N1 through Ashton, Robertson, Worcester and Paarl. There is no service on Tuesday or Saturday.

Question: Does the shuttle stop at Cape Town International Airport?
Answer: Yes, on the N2 route. It reaches the airport at 13:00 heading to Cape Town and leaves at 14:00 heading back to Plettenberg Bay. The Thursday N1 route does not call at the airport, starting and finishing at Cape Town Mowbray instead.

Question: Can I be dropped at George Airport?
Answer: Yes. The shuttle calls at George Airport at 07:00 on its way to Cape Town, so it works well for a flight out of George. It does not pick up at George Airport on the return leg, so arrivals into George are covered by a private transfer arranged on enquiry.
